A family home reconfigured for modern living
This comprehensive renovation of a detached period residence in Wimbledon addressed circulation, daylight, and family storage across three storeys. We reconfigured the ground floor to create a natural progression from a formal entrance hall to an expansive open-plan kitchen, dining, and garden room, establishing direct sightlines into the landscaped garden.
Bespoke fluted wall panelling and integrated cabinetry define the main family living room, housing media equipment and books without visual noise. On the upper floors, we reorganised the master suite to incorporate a dedicated walk-in dressing room and a private bathroom featuring twin stone vanities and a walk-in shower enclosure.
Spatial Reconfiguration, Custom Cabinetry & Durable Materiality
Tailored architectural interventions designed for the practical needs of an active family household.
The layout was engineered to support both busy school mornings and weekend hosting. Durable porcelain floor tiles in the kitchen transition into wide-plank engineered oak throughout the reception rooms, combining underfloor heating with easy long-term maintenance. In the master dressing room, floor-to-ceiling joinery provides dedicated sections for hanging, folded knitwear, and accessories, supported by integrated warm LED task lighting and a central upholstered island with soft-close jewellery drawers.
