Mentorship Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions for Oraanj Mentorship Programme

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in the Oraanj Interior Design Mentorship Programme (“Programme”). By enrolling in and paying for the Programme, you (“the Mentee”) agree to be legally bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before acceptance.

1. Parties

This agreement is entered into between Oraanj Interior Design Ltd, 2nd Floor, Hygeia House, 66 College Road, Harrow, London, HA1 1BE, United Kingdom (“Oraanj”), and the Mentee, who is an independent learner, freelance interior designer, or design trainee participating for professional development purposes. Together, they are referred to as the “Parties”.

2. Effective Date

These Terms take effect on the date the Mentee is formally accepted into the Programme.

3. Nature of the Programme and Services

The Programme is a paid professional mentorship and training initiative designed to support learning, skill development, and industry exposure. Participation in the Programme does not constitute employment, an internship, a worker relationship, or an offer of employment. The Programme is educational in nature, and any exposure to real-world workflows, project examples, or supervised tasks is provided solely for learning and professional development purposes. Participation in live projects, client meetings, site visits, or communications is entirely at Oraanj’s discretion and is not guaranteed.

4. Termination and Withdrawal

4.1 Termination by the Mentee

The Mentee may withdraw from the Programme at any time by providing a minimum of fourteen (14) days’ written notice to Oraanj. Notice must be submitted by email to [email protected] or delivered in writing to Oraanj’s registered office. Programme fees already paid are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law.

4.2 Obligations During the Notice Period

During the notice period, the Mentee agrees to reasonably assist in completing any ongoing learning tasks, provide an orderly handover of any Programme-related work, and cooperate to minimise disruption to the Programme.

4.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination of the Programme, the Mentee’s access to Programme materials, systems, and shared resources will cease. All confidential information must be returned to Oraanj or securely deleted. Any provisions intended to survive termination, including confidentiality, data protection, and intellectual property obligations, shall remain in force.

4.4 Ownership of Work

All Programme materials, training content, templates, documents, designs, and concepts provided or created as part of the Programme remain the exclusive intellectual property of Oraanj. Any work produced by the Mentee during the Programme is created solely for learning purposes and may not be used, shared, or published without Oraanj’s prior written consent.

4.5 Exceptional Circumstances

Withdrawal from the Programme due to serious medical or exceptional personal circumstances will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Supporting documentation may be requested. Any refund or accommodation will be offered solely at Oraanj’s discretion and in accordance with applicable law.

5. Programme Requirements and Conduct

The Mentee agrees to complete tasks and modules assigned as part of the Oraanj University course framework. All Programme-related work must be saved to Oraanj’s designated systems or platforms, where applicable. The Mentee must comply with the most up-to-date Programme materials, guidelines, and processes. Failure to meet reasonable standards of conduct, professionalism, or participation may result in termination from the Programme.

6. Eligibility and Right to Participate

The Mentee confirms that they have the legal right to participate in a professional mentorship programme in the United Kingdom. Oraanj does not provide immigration or visa advice, and responsibility for compliance with immigration or residency requirements remains with the Mentee.

7. Remuneration

The Mentee acknowledges that participation in the Programme does not constitute employment. No salary, wages, or employment-related benefits are payable for time spent participating in the Programme or in any supervised learning activities.

8. Completion, Certification, and Future Opportunities

Oraanj may provide feedback to the Mentee during the Programme at its discretion. Upon successful completion of the Programme, Oraanj may issue a certificate of completion and, where appropriate, provide a reference or testimonial. Participation in the Programme does not guarantee future freelance work, paid opportunities, or employment with Oraanj.

9. Data Protection and GDPR Compliance

The Mentee agrees to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. All client, supplier, and company data must be treated as strictly confidential. Personal devices used for Programme-related activities must be appropriately secured. Any suspected or actual data breach must be reported to Oraanj immediately. All data must be returned or securely deleted upon request or upon termination of the Programme.

10. Confidentiality

The Mentee agrees to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all proprietary, commercial, and client information accessed during the Programme. Programme materials may not be shared, copied, or redistributed without Oraanj’s prior written consent. These confidentiality obligations continue after the Programme ends.

11. Termination by Oraanj

This agreement remains in force until Programme completion or termination. Oraanj reserves the right to terminate the Mentee’s participation immediately in the event of misconduct, breach of confidentiality, failure to comply with Programme requirements, or non-payment of Programme fees.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oraanj shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of income, or reliance placed on mentorship advice or training materials. Oraanj’s total liability under these Terms shall not exceed the Programme fee paid by the Mentee.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms.

Acknowledgement

By enrolling in the Programme, the Mentee confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
